The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Headquarters to provide technical support to Bono Regional CID to investigate the murder of three persons at Abesim in the Bono Region to its logical conclusion.
This comes after a 28 year-old architect, Richard Appiah was suspected to have killed 12 and 15 years old young men and a yet-to-be-identified man whose bodies were found in his living quarters at Alaska near Abesim yesterday, Friday, August 20, 2021.
The police arrested suspect Richard with the help of Alaska community members.
Richard Appiah is currently under the Sunyani police custody assisting in the process of the investigation.
Meanwhile, the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has commended the hard work of the police and the swift response given by the community in the arrest of the suspect.
